With appointments available in our downtown Columbus studio and virtually, that conversation can begin wherever you are.

Sheila Salemme is the Ghanaian American designer, artist, and creative director behind Delana Muse. Her work begins with a belief: what we wear for life’s most meaningful moments should feel deeply connected to who we are.
Born in Ghana and based in Columbus, Ohio, Sheila draws inspiration from cultural heritage, architecture, and human connection. Her experience of moving between cultures informs an ongoing exploration of identity and belonging; ideas she expresses through romantic silhouettes, sculptural details, and textiles that invite a closer look. A self-taught designer, Sheila approaches each collection as a story told through clothing. Her practice extends into textile design, including original laser-cut and embroidered fabrics that give her garments a distinctive character. From the architectural influences of West Africa to the immigrant love stories behind I’ll Go Where You Go, her collections bring personal meaning to the details, textures, and movement of a gown. Delana Muse began with a friend’s search for a wedding gown that felt like her. That desire continues to guide Sheila’s work: creating space for a woman’s individuality within the romance of bridal wear. Through collection gowns, thoughtful customizations, and fully custom designs, she invites each bride to express her own sensibility.
