Do you believe in love at first sight? The moment when you first see your dream wedding dress and know you have to have it? For some of us that’s all it takes but for others it helps to try it on first, hence the importance of trunk shows. We encourage brides to attend trunk shows because trunk shows are cool and trunk shows give clarity to brides. How are trunk shows cool?. Just look at the history of a trunk show. Trunk shows are traditional practices in the fashion industry, where fashion designers would create garments and accessories and transport those items in trunks to clothing boutiques to be purchased. This is called hosting a trunk show. Customers would
This concept still exists today in the bridal world. As it's fair to say that the Delana Muse gowns are not shipped in an actual trunk, the exclusivity of it all remains as it’s still a bride's chance to see the bridal collection first hand and be a trendsetter. Our trunk shows serve as an opportunity for brides to touch, try on, and even customize an existing gown to suit their tastes. So make plans to attend our trunk shows by checking out our lineup for updates; we could be coming to a city near you. Second, trunk shows give clarity to a bride. As a bride, we know you spend countless hours dreaming about your wedding day. What you will look like, how you’ll want to feel and what features you may want to show (or not show) on your wedding day. Attending a bridal trunk show puts a bride one step closer to choosing her bridal gown. Choosing a bridal gown could be like flipping one domino in a line of dominoes; many other decisions will be easier to make after a gown is selected. In that one gown, a bride can imagine her wedding venue, the bridesmaids’ gowns that complement the bridal gown, floral designs, shoes, and other accessories for the wedding day. You won't know how beneficial a trunk show is until you attend one. Learn more about upcoming Delana Muse trunk shows here.

All over the world weddings are considered one of life’s most sacred rituals and to have the opportunity to partake in one is something I consider a privilege. My earliest experience with weddings came from being a guest to being a bridesmaid as a teenager; so you can say I had quite an early education in choosing bridesmaid dresses, addressing invitations, and the importance of a bridal gown. Before we continue I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Kyla Denanyoh and I am a writer and former bride. I am working with Sheila Salemme, owner and designer of Delana Muse, to shed light on some wedding tips we believe you as a bride will find useful. Sheila is a wife, a business owner, a designer, a fashion advocate, and busy. She created Delana Muse with the mission and intention to create for the “woman who takes delight in dressing for her soul." How amazing is that? To dress for your soul sounds like a bride who is comfortable in her skin.
Dressing for your soul is expressing yourself on your wedding day. I applaud that bride. I am that bride. Spoiler alert: I worked with Sheila when I got married in 2019. Sheila designed an incredible gown that fit my personality. It was indeed the wedding dress of my dreams. With the addition of this Delana Muse blog we hope you and your friends will have a place to discuss weddings, bridal gowns, custom designs, and more. Be on the lookout for monthly posts and be encouraged to share your thoughts. I’m excited that you are here. Kyla |
