Fall in love with colorful bridal gowns

You can truly show your personality and feel like yourself on your wedding day.

How? Choose a colored bridal gown if that’s what your heart wants.

Traditionally, white bridal gowns are worn because they symbolize purity. The bride is marrying someone that she's never kissed and their relationship (her sexuality) is as pure and innocent as the color of her gown.

Centuries later, women continue to wear white bridal gowns. Delana Muse creates bridal gowns that celebrate the ethereal, modern, and sensual aspects of brides, with colorful bridal gowns and white gowns. Take a look.

Bridal boutiques are full of white bridal gowns.

A modern boutique may take a risk and have an ecru or eggshell-colored gown, but that is really shaking things up. Also, when brides think about themselves getting married, we picture ourselves in white gowns because that is what we see all the time. This tradition makes it difficult for us to imagine ourselves wearing any color other than white on our wedding days.

Colored bridal gowns became popular when brides had a second marriage. It feels weird to write this, but it was understood that purity wasn’t an issue in a second marriage.

If a bridal boutique had colored gowns, they were reserved for older women or brides having a second marriage.

When my parent’s married, on Valentine’s Day (!), my mom wore a pink bridal gown. Very cool, but also appropriate because she was in her late 30’s and it was a second marriage for my dad. Even in the ’80s, colored bridal gowns were still reserved for the others.

But not anymore.

Choose a colored bridal gown if that’s what your heart wants.

You should wear a colored gown if you
  • believe in being free in love (the motto of Delana Muse Bridal),
  • enjoy standing out,
  • want to display your personality, and
  • choose to have a little fun.

And to be honest, you should wear a colored gown if you're ready to defend your gown color choice every day (because you will be questioned about your decision every time you mention it) then a colored bridal gown is perfect for you.

Colored gowns are controversial.

I won’t pretend that your family will accept a colored bridal gown just because we live in 2022. People will not question your choice of a colored bridal gown. Again, we take comfort in tradition and the routines involved with weddings, including bridal gown colors.

Delana Muse designs bridal gowns that express the ethereal, modern, and sensual aspects of every bride, including colored bridal gowns. There are gorgeous dusty blush bridal gowns and minty blue bridal gowns that will flatter your skin tone and make you feel like yourself on your day.

If you live a colorful and vibrant life, you don’t have to turn your colors down because you’re getting married.

Take a chance and express yourself with a gorgeous colored bridal gown.
